Paul Scallan
Paul is a fitness instructor and a part time duty manager at The Fitness Dock since 2002. After completing a diploma in sports therapy, Paul travelled to Australia where he gained experience as a fitness instructor and returned to university where he is currently completing a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at UCD.
Paul is our resident Pilates Instructor with qualifications in Level 1 and 2 Mat/Reformer Pilates. Other qualifications include Advanced Reebok Step, Les Mils BodyPump and BodyAttack and Personal Training. Paul's future ambitions are to specialise is Rehabilitative Pilates and Sports Physiotherapy.
Joanna Fraska
Has been employed at The Dock for over 3 years all the way from Poznan in Poland. Joanna has 9 years experience as a fitness instructor and trainer. As our head instructor, she excels at teaching classes and you can thank Joanna for our fitness tip every month on the notice board.
Joanna has completed Poliquin Level 1certificate and is looking forward to starting level 2
Hobbies: Psychology, dance, nutrition, sport in general gym, weights programs reading books-medical thrillers
Sarah Casey
Sarah Joined the fitness dock in September 2008, She has over 10 years experience in the fitness industry. Sarah holds N.C.V.A and ITEC gym and leisure management qualifications, NCEHS fitness and personal training qualifications, numerous class qualifications. She is currently finishing her Level 1 Poliquin certificate. Sarah teaches a broad range of classes, Spinning being her favourite.
Hobbies: Rugby.. traveling to Thomand Park :), yoga and Holistic well being studies, Sarah is also a Reiki practitioner.
Gary Twamley
Gary has worked at the fitness dock for 3 years. He hold poliquin level 1 and 2 certifications. He has also been a successful personal trainer in the last two years.
Gary teaches Spinning but he really enjoys his bodypump classes. Also, he specializes in modified strong man training.
Hobbies include occasionally playing rugby, reading reference books and socializing.
Michael Finglas
Has been working in the fitness dock since 2005 and a duty manager since 2008. In 2007 he travelled to Australia and worked as a Personal Trainer in Perth.
He has Level 2 Poliquin Certification and is in the process of completing His Level 3 course. he holds NCEF and NESTA personal training qualifications, and is qualified to teach numerous gym and outdoor classes.
Hobbies: Lifting weights, Obviously!! ;-) Playing any sport, but rugby foremost, he plays guitar and likes a trip to the cinema!!
Eddie Sackey
Though new at The Fitness Dock, Eddie Sackey comes to the club with ample knowledge from the Health & Fitness industry. His career journey started 3 years ago alongside his hobby as a dance choreographer. He began teaching fitness because he loves moving his body to the beat of music and it is the next best thing to contemporary dance. He received his first certification in Exercise, Health Studies & Personal Training through NCEHS at NTC. His current teaching styles include stability ball, step aerobics, spin cycling and core conditioning. The classes he enjoy teaching most are BTS body balance & body pump.
Through continue education with CCME (The College of Complimentary Medical Education), Eddie Sackey has moved one step further to become Massage Therapist dealing with sport massage, event massage and soft tissue massage.
His hobbies includes: dancing, acting, fashion, playing football and last but not the least gymnastics!
